Kofta Kebab
Kofta Kebab is a classic grilled dish made of ground beef and lamb mixed with fresh parsley, onions, garlic, and warm Middle Eastern spices. Hearty and flavorful, there are also many sides and salads you can serve with this dish. These homemade grilled kofta will leave your mouth watering and craving for more! Ingredients
The ingredients below will accommodate 2-4 servings
Ingredients:
3/4 lb. of ground beef mixed with 1/4 lb. of ground lamb
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup of olive oil
1 chopped medium onion
1 pinch of chopped parsley
1-2 cloves of garlic
Optional to add chilis and to serve with pita bread
For the tomato & onions fixing:
4-8 tomato wedges
3-6 onion wedges
1 tsp salt
optional chilis
Preparation
Step 1
First, we need to chop onions, garlic, and parsley and then place in the food processor (if your food processor is small you can chop every ingredient by itself). Once processed add to a deep bowl with the ground meat and add the salt and pepper. Mix well. Take a fistful portion of the meat mixture and mold it on a wooden skewer. Or you can simply make them with your hand (as shown in the video) by rolling and then flattening them. Repeat the process until you have run out of meat.
For the best size for grilling be sure to make each kofta kebab about 1 inch in thickness. Lay the kofta kebabs on a tray lined with parchment paper for now.
Step 2
For the tomato & onions fixing add the ingredients in a flat baking pan and add oil, salt, and pepper to it. Broil for about 3 minutes on each side, then cut them small and lay them on a flat serving pan.
Step 3
Now place kofta kebabs in the oven, broil on medium-high heat for 4 minutes on each side (total of 7-8 minutes.)
Step 4
Add the kebab on top of the fixing. Enjoy!
